Amateur Athletes Get Support for 2016

World Sport Chicago (WSC) is an alliance formed by the City of Chicago and Chicago 2016 to promote the development of amateur sports and international competition in the Chicagoland area. They recently collaborated with Tanagram and technology partner, Geneca, to help develop the organization’s visual brand and online community.

We set the creative foundation for WSC with a logotype that is an expression of youth, energy, optimism, and global cooperation. These attributes, extended to the branding of a community-focused website, help the organization work to enhance the image, awareness, and participation in Olympic and amateur sports. More importantly, the brand has come to represent Chicago’s long term commitment to these sports, both before and after the 2016 Olympic Games.
